St. Crispin's Day - October 25th

St. Crispin's Day - October 25th

Today, we pause to celebrate St. Crispin’s Day—an ode to the hands and hearts that bring our shoes to life.

From the ingenious designers to the precise cutters, from the meticulous stitchers to the dedicated finishers, every pair of shoes is a testament to their artistry and dedication.

“You may not always see our work, but you feel it in every step.”

Why October 25th matters

St. Crispin - often mentioned with his brother Crispinian - has been known since the Middle Ages as the patron saint of shoemakers and leatherworkers. Legend says they preached by day and made shoes by night for people in need - craft in service of the community. That’s why 25 October is a moment of pride, gratitude and respect for handwork in our trade.

Join us in honoring these unsung heroes whose craftsmanship and passion create the magic you step into every day. Let's celebrate their unwavering commitment and exceptional skills.

Hands that make the difference

Every Loints shoe passes through many skilled hands. A few roles:

  • Design & last-making – from fit to timeless silhouette.

  • Cutting – each component cut from natural leather with care.

  • Stitching – millimetre-precise seams for comfort without pressure points.

  • Assembly & finishing – soles, edges, polishing: where everything comes together.

How your pair comes to life

  1. Leather selection – natural grain, strong fibre, less waste.

  2. Pattern & cutting – smart placement to minimise offcuts.

  3. Stitching & reinforcement – exactly where it’s needed, never too much.

  4. Lasting & soles – flexible, light, made to last.

  5. Quality & care – ready for thousands of steps.

On this special day, we invite you to take a moment to appreciate the journey of your shoes. Each stitch, each cut, tells a story of tradition, creativity, and care.
